Restaurant Name: Bangkok City
Food Type: Thai Food
Average price per person: $10-$15
Bangkok City, as the name suggests, is a Thai restaurant, which serves authentic Thai food. Although, less famous than Royal Thai, the food here is superior, as is the service. The place is ordinary looking, bit is a place where the food excels the ambience. As with any restaurants, they have lunch specials; I would recommend the Pad Thai, Pad Siew and the Green Curry. However, their strength lies in preparing truly authentic Thai food that are outside the ambit of the menu. Also called the “Special Menu”, this lists out all the chef’s specials; here the chef prepares the dishes in an authentic Thai style that has all the flavors heightened. The spice levels are probably of the charts by local standards and the combination of flavors would replicate that of authentic Thai food. Top on the list would be the “Kaprow” Chicken, “Tom Yum” soup and the “Pad Ginger”. Located on Greenville ave and SMU Blvd, parking is limited to a few cars, but there is plenty of street parking. SS&C highly recommends this place for a great Thai experience!
